About This Course
Learn to use Microsoft 365 Copilot for the four everyday business scenarios that separate early adopters from power users: planning projects with Copilot Chat, drafting business content in Word and PowerPoint, analyzing data with Excel and the Analyst agent, and running collaborative meetings with Teams, Outlook, and Copilot Pages. By the end of this course you will be able to move from a blank page to a leadership-ready deliverable with Copilot as your working partner.

Plan work with Copilot Chat
Learn how Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat helps you plan work — from the unified chat surface and the Work IQ toggle, to the four elements of an effective prompt, the follow-up refinement loop that turns a first-draft response into something you'd actually send, and the handoff from a Chat conversation to durable artifacts in Copilot Pages, Word, and OneDrive. By the end of this lesson you will be able to open Copilot Chat in the right mode for the question at hand, structure a prompt that gives Copilot enough to produce something useful, iterate that output into a polished result, and preserve the work as a shareable artifact your team can collaborate on.
Plan a client summit with Copilot Chat - Lab Exercises
Note: This lab provisions a Microsoft 365 Copilot license at start — allow up to 5 minutes for the license to become active before beginning the exercises.
Practice end-to-end project planning with Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat: brainstorm event ideas, build an agenda, generate visuals, draft a planning brief in Word, share it via Copilot Pages, and email your team a summary. By the end of this lab you will be able to move from a blank prompt to a shareable client-summit plan in about half an hour, using the Work IQ toggle, the four-element prompt anatomy, the refinement loop, and Copilot Pages as your working canvas.
Draft business content with Copilot in Word and PowerPoint
Learn how Microsoft 365 Copilot embeds directly into Word and PowerPoint — how the Copilot pane's two modes (Allow editing vs Draft-only) shape what actually lands in your document, how the Researcher agent gives you grounded, cite-able content to blend into a first draft, and how a finished Word document becomes a supporting slide deck in one prompt. By the end of this lesson you will know when to reach for in-app Copilot vs the Researcher agent, and how to move a case-study draft from blank Word doc to shareable PowerPoint in about fifteen minutes of prompt work.
Draft and refine a client case study - Lab Exercises
Note: This lab provisions a Microsoft 365 Copilot license at start — allow up to 5 minutes for the license to become active before beginning the exercises.
Practice building business content with Microsoft 365 Copilot end-to-end: draft a case study in Word, ground it in evidence from the Researcher agent, generate a supporting PowerPoint deck, and send a coached status email. By the end of this lab you will be able to turn a blank page into a client-ready case study, deck, and email in about twenty minutes.
Analyze data with Copilot in Excel and the Analyst agent
Learn how Microsoft 365 Copilot turns a spreadsheet into a conversation — how the Edit-with-Copilot mode gates in-place changes, how natural-language formulas fill entire columns from a plain-English description, how Copilot pulls themes and sentiment out of a free-text column, and how the Analyst agent reasons across an entire workbook. By the end of this lesson you will know when to prompt Copilot in-cell vs. in-pane vs. via the Analyst agent, and how to move from a CSV to a leadership-ready summary in under twenty minutes.
Analyze quarterly sales with Copilot and the Analyst agent - Lab Exercises
Note: This lab provisions a Microsoft 365 Copilot license at start — allow up to 5 minutes for the license to become active before beginning the exercises.
Practice analyzing quarterly sales data with Microsoft 365 Copilot in Excel: import a CSV, explore trends with natural-language prompts, extract themes from customer feedback, build a chart, add a natural-language formula, and hand the workbook to the Analyst agent for a cross-sheet report. By the end of this lab you will be able to turn a raw CSV into a leadership-ready summary in about twenty minutes.
Run meetings and collaborate with Copilot
Learn how Microsoft 365 Copilot changes how meetings are run — how Allow-actions mode in Outlook lets Copilot draft and send calendar invites for you, how in-meeting Copilot captures blockers and decisions in real time, how the meeting recap grounds follow-up actions, and how Copilot Pages and Copilot Notebooks turn one meeting into a living project hub. By the end of this lesson you will know how to run a project check-in end-to-end with Copilot as your co-facilitator, from calendar invite to notebook.
Manage a project meeting end-to-end with Copilot - Lab Exercises
Note: This lab provisions a Microsoft 365 Copilot license at start — allow up to 5 minutes for the license to become active before beginning the exercises.
Run a full project check-in end-to-end with Microsoft 365 Copilot: draft the Teams meeting invite from Outlook with Copilot, capture the live meeting with transcription and in-meeting prompts, review the recap, draft a follow-up email that includes the blockers, and turn the whole thing into a shared Copilot Page and a Copilot Notebook that ties in earlier work. By the end of this lab you will be able to run a project meeting from calendar invite to project hub with Copilot as your co-facilitator.
