About This Course

Learn to drive Google's agentic development environment Antigravity. Work through its artifact-first workflow, Agent Manager, sandboxed Browser Subagent, Tab-based autopilot, and custom SKILL.md rules against hands-on tasks in a browser-streamed Windows 11 lab environment. By the end of this course you will be able to boot Antigravity against a fresh project, drive it through a multi-step reasoning plan with inline artifact steering, run parallel agent conversations without conflicts, and know when to reach for /boost deep reasoning or a custom skill rule.

Agentic development: the artifacts-first mental model

1h 0m

Learn the mental model behind Google Antigravity's agentic coding workflow — the loop from prompt through reasoning plan, tool use, and reviewable artifacts (plans, diffs, walkthroughs); how Projects set repository boundaries and when Local vs new-worktree mode is the right choice; the Agent Manager's role in running multiple agent conversations in parallel; and the concrete differences between an artifact-first environment and a chat-and-paste coding assistant. By the end of this lesson you will be able to narrate the agent loop step-by-step, choose a project mode for a given task, and explain why Antigravity does not write code the instant you press Enter.

Lab Exercise
Lab Exercise

Sign in, create a Project, drive your first task - Lab Exercises

1h 30m 5 Exercises

Note: This lab pre-provisions a Windows 11 VM and leases a Google Cloud project at start — allow up to 12 minutes for the environment to become ready before beginning the exercises.

Put the mental model from the previous lesson into practice. You will sign into Antigravity using federated identity, create your first Project against a tiny Python CLI, and drive the full agent loop end-to-end — prompt, review the plan artifact, steer the agent with inline feedback, approve the diff, and inspect the walkthrough. By the end of this lab you will be able to sign into Antigravity on a fresh lab VM, create a Project in Local mode, prompt the agent for a small feature, read and modify a plan artifact mid-task, and explain which stage of the agent loop you just experienced for the first time.

Reading artifacts and steering the agent

1h 0m

Build the artifact-review reflexes that make Antigravity actually faster than typing. You will go deep on the three artifact types (plans, diffs, walkthroughs), see how inline artifact feedback steers the agent without restarting, learn what to look for when you spend 30 seconds reading a plan, and know when inline feedback stops being enough and a restart is the better call. By the end of this lesson you will be able to analyze a plan against a project's conventions, apply inline feedback to steer mid-task, and choose between iterating in the same conversation versus starting a new one for a given scenario.

Steer the agent through artifact feedback - Lab Exercises

1h 30m 5 Exercises

Note: This lab pre-provisions a Windows 11 VM and leases a Google Cloud project at start — allow up to 12 minutes for the environment to become ready before beginning the exercises.

Put the artifact-steering skills from the previous lesson into practice. You will prompt Antigravity to fix a bug in a Python geometry helper where both the production code AND the test are wrong in matching ways. You will read the plan carefully, request a specific change via inline feedback that broadens the scope (negative-dimension handling), and watch the agent revise its plan without restarting the conversation. By the end of this lab you will have exercised the inline-feedback steering pattern on a plan that genuinely needs steering, and you will be able to explain the difference between iterating via inline feedback and starting a new conversation.

Tab features and the Browser Subagent

1h 0m

Learn the two layers of Antigravity that sit alongside full agent tasks — Tab-level autopilot (Supercomplete, Tab-to-Jump, Tab-to-Import) for small single-file edits where opening an agent conversation would be overkill, and the sandboxed Browser Subagent for driving a real Chromium browser against your dev server as part of an agent task. By the end of this lesson you will be able to pick between a Tab-feature edit and an agent task for a given change, explain the Browser Subagent's isolated-profile security model, and recognize when the Browser Subagent is the right tool for end-to-end QA inside an agent task.

Autopilot refactor + browser-driven QA - Lab Exercises

1h 28m 5 Exercises

Note: This lab pre-provisions a Windows 11 VM and leases a Google Cloud project at start — allow up to 12 minutes for the environment to become ready before beginning the exercises.

Put both of Antigravity's non-agent-task layers into practice on one small Flask app. You will use Tab features (Supercomplete) to rename a variable across five usage sites in a single file — the exact single-file, pattern-based change Tab features are designed for — then start the Flask dev server and drive Antigravity's Browser Subagent to verify the home page renders correctly end-to-end. By the end of this lab you will have exercised Supercomplete on a real rename, Tab-to-Jump during the acceptance step, and the Browser Subagent against a running localhost dev server, with the screenshot and action-video artifacts attached to the task's walkthrough.

Agent Manager and parallel conversations

1h 0m

Learn to turn one agent conversation into throughput — the Agent Manager pane and how multiple agent conversations run in parallel against isolated worktrees. You will see how conversations are first-class, persistent objects you can revisit days later; how Ctrl+E toggles between the Agent Manager and the editor pane non-destructively; and how parallelism interacts with worktree isolation to make three independent tasks finish in the wall-clock time of the slowest. By the end of this lesson you will be able to run multiple agent conversations in parallel safely, use the Agent Manager to switch review attention between them, and recognize when parallelism actually buys you throughput versus when it just adds context-switching cost.

Run two agents in parallel on different endpoints - Lab Exercises

1h 43m 5 Exercises

Note: This lab pre-provisions a Windows 11 VM and leases a Google Cloud project at start — allow up to 12 minutes for the environment to become ready before beginning the exercises.

Put the Agent Manager + parallel-worktrees pattern into practice on a real Express API. You will open two agent conversations simultaneously — one for pagination on /users, one for filtering on /products — each pinned to its own worktree, and let them execute in parallel while you switch review attention between them via Ctrl+E. By the end of this lab you will have driven two agent tasks in overlapping wall-clock windows, used the Agent Manager pane to coordinate review, and seen with your own eyes the throughput gain from running independent tasks concurrently.

Deep reasoning, custom skills, and what comes next

1h 0m

Close out AGY-100 with the three features that scale your Antigravity usage beyond daily tasks — /boost deep reasoning for when the task is worth extra tokens, custom SKILL.md files that teach the agent your conventions project-by-project, and rules that act as persistent guardrails across every conversation. Then a short tour of the Antigravity ecosystem beyond this course — /teamwork-preview, Claude and GPT via Google AI Pro, the CLI (agy), the Python SDK, and the IDE extensions — plus a signpost to AGY-110 if you want to drive a real build end-to-end. By the end you will know when /boost is worth it, how to author a SKILL.md the agent respects, and where to go next.

Author a SKILL.md and try /boost - Lab Exercises

1h 45m 5 Exercises

Note: This lab pre-provisions a Windows 11 VM and leases a Google Cloud project at start — allow up to 12 minutes for the environment to become ready before beginning the exercises.

Close out AGY-100 with hands-on practice of the two scaling features from the previous lesson. You will author a SKILL.md in an empty TypeScript project, encoding a specific convention ("every TypeScript file starts with a path header comment"). You will prompt the agent to create a new module and verify the agent respected your SKILL.md on the first plan — no inline feedback needed. Then you will toggle /boost on a tricky refactor task and compare the plan quality side-by-side with standard mode. By the end of this lab you will have authored a working SKILL.md the agent respects AND seen with your own eyes the reasoning-depth difference /boost buys you.
