About This Course
Prepare for the Microsoft PL-900 certification exam and learn to build no-code/low-code business solutions on Microsoft Power Platform. This agent-led course teaches the business value of Power Platform, Microsoft Dataverse data modeling, environment governance, Power Apps (canvas, model-driven, plan designer, and code apps), Power Automate cloud and desktop flows, and building agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio. Every concept is taught with concrete Power Platform examples and reinforced with four hands-on labs imported from Microsoft's official PL-900 lab content building a Dataverse data model, a canvas app, a model-driven app, and a Power Automate flow all set in a unified Contoso facilities-request scenario. Aligned to the July 2026 exam objectives.

PL-900 Lesson 1: Business Value of Microsoft Power Platform
Foundational lesson introducing the business value of the Microsoft Power Platform suite: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, Power Pages, generative AI features, and Copilot Studio agents. Maps to PL-900 exam domain 1 (5–10%).
PL-900 Lesson 2: Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform Governance
In-depth lesson covering Microsoft Dataverse (tables, columns, relationships, forms, views, business logic, Power Fx, AI-assisted table creation) and Power Platform administration & governance (environments, security model, data privacy, monitoring, ALM with pipelines). Maps to PL-900 exam domain 2 (20–25%).
PL-900 Lab: Create a Data Model in Microsoft Dataverse
Hands-on lab where you build a custom Facility Request table in Microsoft Dataverse with columns of different data types, then use Copilot to scaffold a Room table and add a lookup relationship. Reinforces the Dataverse concepts from Lesson 2.
PL-900 Lesson 3: Microsoft Power Apps — Canvas, Model-Driven, Plan Designer, and Code Apps
Comprehensive lesson on Power Apps capabilities and use cases: canvas apps, model-driven apps, the Plan designer, and code apps. Covers how to build apps using AI (canvas, model-driven, and the vibe experience). Maps to PL-900 exam domain 3 (20–25%).
PL-900 Lab: Create a Canvas App
Hands-on lab where you build a Power Apps canvas app from a template and then construct a Facility Request canvas app from scratch — connecting to Dataverse, adding screens, galleries, forms, and Power Fx navigation formulas.
PL-900 Lab: Create a Model-Driven App
Hands-on lab where you build a model-driven Power App for the Contoso facilities management team using the modern app designer — adding Dataverse tables, configuring navigation groups, customizing forms and views, then publishing and testing the app.
PL-900 Lesson 4: Microsoft Power Automate — Cloud and Desktop Flows
In-depth lesson covering Power Automate use cases and capabilities: cloud flows vs. desktop flows, common use cases (approvals, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms, document automation), connector triggers and actions, and using AI to create and modify both cloud and desktop flows. Maps to PL-900 exam domain 4 (20–25%).
PL-900 Lab: Create a Power Automate Flow
Hands-on lab where you build an automated cloud flow in Power Automate triggered by a Dataverse event, add a condition for high-priority requests, and send an email notification via the Office 365 Outlook connector.
PL-900 Lesson 5: Microsoft Copilot Studio — Building and Managing Agents
Comprehensive lesson on Microsoft Copilot Studio: agent use cases, building conversation paths with topics, using knowledge sources, tools (MCP servers and agent flows), publishing to channels, Microsoft Agent 365, monitoring agent usage and adoption, and agent evaluations.
